November Daily Scripture Writing

November is here. And I’ve got our next to the last Daily Scripture Writing Plan. We’ll be taking a look at yielding in the Bible. Most verses we’ll be looking at talk about yielding our will to God. That’s a tough one, right? I like to think I know a thing or two about how my life should work out, but God’s been showing me that I really don’t.

Most verses we’ll be looking at talk about yielding our will to God. That’s a tough one, right? I like to think I know a thing or two about how my life should work out, but God’s been showing me that I really don’t. Instead, I am constantly facing yet another area of my life God is asking me to trust Him on.

Lysa Terquerst, in her latest book “Uninvited” talks about how you will respond to God “when your normal gets snatched away.” Friends, I didn’t really yield when that happened to me this fall. I acted more like a two-year-old and had a little temper tantrum about it all then did the limp noodle drag. I’m not proud of this fact, but I’m working on me, letting things go that, while they were good, were not the best use of my time and energy and learning how to function in my new normal.

Yielding takes time.

So join us as we dig deep and learn about the many ways we are called to yield. And y’all. I’ve got news for you … yielding is not quitting, although sometimes it feels like it when we get stalled waiting for the right time to move forward or change directions. So I’m thinking we’re going to learn a lot about patience and grace this month.

I don’t see a difference between the short and long. Could you tell me what makes it short vs. long? Thank you!!
