There’s something about the act of setting pen to paper that helps thoughts lodge into the long-term memory part of my brain rather than the here-today-gone-tomorrow part where it gets crowded out by the next thing and the next thing and the next thing. There are always more things that I need to know or do or remember. I keep my Siri and reminder app pretty busy.
Recently, a group of my friends came across a daily scripture writing plan and we all loved the idea of it so much that we decided to come up with one just for our Middle Places tribe of beautiful women. Well, actually my friend did it for me because she’s a go-getter like that. We chatted ideas and then she ran with it and passed it back to me. Then I just added some pretty fonts and graphics so it would match our Daring theme for January.
I’m really excited to be able to offer this on Middle Places and can’t wait to see how a year of writing scriptures changes me. I’m heading over to Walmart in just a bit to buy a pretty journal!
We’d love to have you join us. Simply click the link below and print out a copy. Then write the scripture each day from the version of the Bible of your choice. If you’re into Instagramming that kind of thing, just add the hashtags #MiddlePlaces & #dailyscripture to the description of your photo. I’d love to see who’s joining us and sneak a peek at all the unique handwriting. (p.s. mine’s mostly messy with occasional graceful swoops and swashes–or at least that’s what I’m telling myself.)
Then be sure to join our community group for daily reminders. Plus, there’s just an amazing group of ladies that hang out in that little beautiful corner of the internet and we chat about all kinds of lovely things.
(longer version) On the 22 & 23 consider writing Proverbs 31:10-31. I think they line up with Luke 8:1-3 so well!
If you’re excited about this idea, will you please share it with your friends on Facebook, pin the pretty picture or maybe even Tweet it if you’re a Twittery kind of gal? Thanks!31 Days of Scripture Journaling: A look at the Daring women of the Bible in 10 minutes or less a day.Click To Tweet
